Surfivor Surf Camp

The surf sessions were so much fun, thanks to Giorgia and Manuel’s patience, energy, and passion for teaching. They made each one unforgettable. Rosa’s barbecue was out of this world, too! I had an incredible time at Surfivor Surf Camp. The rooms were clean, cozy, and great for relaxing after a day in the waves, and breakfast was delicious every morning with fresh, tasty choices.

There weren’t many people around during my week in early June, at the start of surf season, so the surf spots were almost empty. The coach really cared about helping the students, and the staff were friendly. The rooms were clean and nice. It’s a cozy camp right by the beach, and I can definitely recommend it.

The rooms were spotless and comfortable, right across from the beach, and the owners and instructors were so kind and helpful. The group had a real family feel, which made the stay even better. It was a last-minute choice and my first time surfing, but I had such a good time I’ll probably do it again. The town itself isn’t especially beautiful, though it’s cozy enough. Porto is close by, and there are lovely dunes and woods to bike through. Just remember the Atlantic can be cold even when the sun’s out. I made the mistake of bringing only one sweater.

Esmoriz has a lovely local feel, with plenty of good places to eat and supermarkets nearby. It isn’t very touristy, which I really liked. The house is so close to the ocean that the stay felt especially relaxing, and my private room with a beach view was well worth the price for watching the sunsets. Everything was clean and bath towels were provided, though there was no shampoo or body wash. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and the surf lessons were both useful and fun. Everyone in the group spent time together and we had a great stay. Thanks to all of them!
