Paradise Suites

The backyard is lovely and peaceful, a nice place to sit with coffee or a glass of wine. In about a 10-minute walk there’s a commercial area with a grocery store and pharmacy; walk around 20 minutes and you’ll reach a station with small local restaurants serving good food nearby. You can drive to Cascais, though Carcavelos has a beach too. We were welcomed by one of the owners, who was very polite and friendly. The place was incredibly clean, and everything smelled good. We really liked it!

Paradise Suites is a lovely boutique guesthouse and great value, whether you’re planning a romantic break or traveling for business and want home comforts with hotel convenience. By car, it’s well placed for the Sintra Mountains, Lisbon, the Gold Coast beaches, and farther afield. The hosts were considerate and very flexible about arrival and departure times, and clearly cared about keeping guests happy. They know the area well and speak fluent English, with a good sense of what international travelers value. I’d pick this guesthouse over any local hotel or Bed and Breakfast.

I only ended up here because a friend had booked ten days, and I had two lovely nights in a friendly, peaceful place. Somehow I accidentally left a one-star rating. I’d banged my head earlier! I’ve fixed it to the well-earned five stars. Highly recommend.

After a day of sightseeing or work, this is a quiet, cozy place to unwind. The bed was really comfortable, everything was very clean, and the home is beautifully decorated. The hosts are the nicest. It’s a perfect place to stay, and if I’m in Carcavelos again, I’ll definitely come back.
