Casa do Outeirinho

The outdoor space was the highlight, with a huge pool and all the little details, including a barbecue. It made our week a wonderful one for relaxing. The house is private, quiet, and welcoming, decorated in a traditional style while still having what a large group needs for a longer stay. We all loved it. Every room was spotless and had its own bathroom. Ivan and D. Aurora welcomed us warmly and were very attentive. It was just right for a restful holiday surrounded by nature. We'll definitely come back.

The pool was especially welcome, and despite the issues we had a wonderful 10 days. The house itself is beautiful, but the rooms were overloaded with sofas, chairs, and frills. The beds seemed like they were from the 1950s, creaking and too narrow and small. Mothball smell filled the house, and I cleared out at least 20 of them. The dogs belonging to the back neighbors (owner) should have been put in the shed earlier and on their own. There was too much barking in the evenings and at night.

Very bad experience. We booked through HomeToGo for the weekend of July 9th to 11th and called a few days ahead to check everything and ask some questions. The owner said it was all fine. But when four families with children arrived, we found other guests already staying there. The owner then told us the house was booked, with no explanation or alternative offered. If you don't want to be left stranded, I do not recommend it.

A lovely place to slow down and forget the stresses of daily life. It's peaceful and tucked away, and I loved staying here. Dona Aurora is very attentive to her guests, and I highly recommend the place.
