The view is the thing you'll remember, and there's a pool too. It's peaceful, clean and comfortable, in an amazing location, with a building that looks new, even if it may have been renovated. Don't be put off by the two-star rating. There are a few missing details, like room fridges and an elevator, though it's only two floors. Breakfast was fine, especially the very good coffee, and the bar stays open until midnight. Gerês village is 3 km away, so you'll need to drive for dinner unless you're up for walking about 1 km up the road. Still worth it. There's also a riverside beach nearby. Go.

The balcony looks out over a beautiful panorama, and the rooms are clean. The staff are open and very friendly, and breakfast was good, with vegetables available as an extra. I'd definitely come back to this lovely hotel.

We were sorry to leave after such a wonderful stay. The views were amazing, the place spotless and comfortable, and the service excellent. Everyone made us feel welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. Many thanks!

The breakfast was delicious and there was always parking available. I loved everything here: the staff were phenomenal and so kind, the rooms comfortable, and the views stunning. It was better than some four- and five-star hotels I've stayed in. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

I still wonder why this place only has two stars. I've stayed at four-star hotels that were far worse. Everything was in excellent condition, the staff were very friendly, and the service was great. Nice breakfast, a beautiful pool and excellent views too.
