The place has a clean, tidy feel and the staff are friendly and quick to help. They’ll share surf spot tips or lend a hand with your board, and it feels warm and laid-back as soon as you arrive. Surf lessons are available for different skill levels, with patient, fun instructors who are keen to see you improve. There’s also a pool for a post-surf dip or a lazy break with a cold drink. Lots of laughter, good energy and chances to meet other surfers. Ahoy Surf House near Peniche is quite a find.

Riki was attentive and made sure we had what we needed while still giving us room and privacy. The bunk beds in the four-bed room were comfortable, and having a towel provided was appreciated. The house is thoughtfully decorated and well equipped. I found it a peaceful spot for a couple of quiet days away from the tourists, about a 30-minute walk from the beach, which I loved. Thanks so much, I loved staying here 🤍

The rooms are spacious, clean and nicely decorated, and the house has a surfer feel that makes it charming and comfortable. Ahoy Surf House is a lovely coastal retreat, especially for surf fans. Riki is a warm, attentive host who goes out of his way to make guests feel welcome and valued. That personal touch made the stay memorable.

A car or bike makes it easy to explore the beaches, and little Ferrel is nice to enjoy too. Riki is a great host, and the house feels relaxed and comfy. I'll be back soon!

I finally had a vacation where I could properly switch off and relax, and I can’t wait to come back. Riki welcomed us warmly and made us feel at home. His surf lessons and advice were excellent, and it was really fun getting to know him over barbecues and beers at the local bars. He’s a very cool and interesting guy, and his dog is the best, though he only brings it over if everyone is happy with that. I can’t recommend his fantastic surf house enough.
