I was there in the off season, so things were relatively quiet, and I’d recommend staying here. Violeta handled my booking and was attentive, helpful, and super nice. I spent two nights at the hostel and was lucky enough to have the dorm room to myself. Everything was very clean, and I loved the vibe. The beds were so comfortable that I finally got a good night’s sleep on my trip. I’ll definitely come back if I’m in the area again.

The two-person room was clean and cozy, and the hostel had a lovely terrace. In the kitchen there were stoves and utensils for cooking. A very nice place!

Even with the late-autumn weather when we arrived, the ocean view from the backyard and the relaxed atmosphere gave the place a summery feel. We spent the evenings unwinding in the comfy patio chairs and backyard, enjoying the salty air. The hostel had what we needed for our five-day Portugal trip last November: comfortable, welcoming rooms, clean and spacious bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a large living room with a great entertainment area. The host also pointed us toward some of Portugal’s hidden gems, including local dishes, drinks, and places to visit.

It was easy to find, and the beach was just a few minutes away. The room had a really cool surf vibe 🏄‍♀️.

(3.5 stars) The kitchen was well equipped, the bunks were sturdy and comfortable, and the place felt homely. Towels were provided, and there seemed to be some popular bars and restaurants nearby. We had a car, so it was an ideal base for day trips around Peniche. There were a couple of maintenance issues when we visited: a leak in the main bathroom shower left a big puddle on the floor, and the toilet seat wasn’t fully secured. We also got kept awake by a festival across the road that we hadn’t known about. It ran until the early hours, with fireworks, every night for seven nights. Luckily, we were only there for two. I’d avoid booking during one of those events! 😂
