Brisa do Mar

We’d return in a heartbeat and would happily spend several days here if we could. We’d found this gem in the Peniche area while looking for somewhere to stay on the way to Lisbon, hoping to be near the coast. It was a couple of kilometers from the coast, close to a great restaurant and some nice beach bars. Our host was engaging and couldn’t have been more helpful. We’d booked the upstairs apartments, but a couple of knee issues in our group meant we were moved downstairs. The host’s brother came over to get the rooms ready and did a splendid job giving them a spit and polish. Our apartment had bedrooms with their own en suites, plus a shared kitchen and living area. Each bedroom had a TV, and we were given a bottle of water each. The beds were large and comfortable, so we slept well after dinner at a restaurant our host recommended. In the morning, the local bakery, less than 50 meters away and popular with locals, served us a fine breakfast.
