Hospedaria D´Ines De Castro

We had a lovely view, and the beds were so comfortable that my daughters took longer to wake up here than they do at home. Five-star comfort! We were two adults and three children on a mini-break and needed an apartment or a room with a private bathroom for a night or two. Many places were full in August, while others charged a lot for just one or two nights. We found a good middle ground at Hospedaria Dona Inês de Castro in Atouguia da Baleia/Coimbrã. We were welcomed warmly, and it was clear this is a place where families with children come to stay. The hospedaria has T1 and T2 apartments as well as quadruple rooms. There's also a coffee machine at reception, with coffee at €0.50. I recommend it and will definitely return with my family.

The room was very clean and tidy, and parking right outside was easy. The owner of the hospedaria was very friendly. The one drawback was the poor sound insulation: you could hear people talking in the corridor, pretty much everything.

We really enjoyed our stay. It's a lovely place for a few days, and the women there were so welcoming. The only thing I'd change is the windows, which could use double glazing. Everything else was great.

I've never been inside Hospedaria. I'm a taxi driver and only drop off and pick up clients there.
