The internet worked fine, but my stay was awful. I was put in one of the emergency cubicles they use when full, and it bore no resemblance to what they advertise online. My tiny shoebox room had no minibar or safe, despite those being listed. The fridge was dirty, the room wasn't soundproof, and breakfast was the worst I've had in Portugal. I'd rather skip breakfast and pay less for the room. The bed was so small that my legs stuck out, and I was afraid I'd fall if I turned over. I stayed still and woke up with back pain, which never happens to me. Look at my photos alongside the listing photos and you'll see the difference. These emergency rooms could ruin your stay. I spent the whole morning trying to get a partial refund, which I eventually received through the booking website, not the hotel. The room should cost half as much or not be offered at all. Nobody wants to get something different from what they booked. The good reviews must be from people who got what they paid for.

I had a lovely view of the castle and church from my balcony, and the location was good. The staff were very friendly, and the beds were especially comfortable. Breakfast was included, delicious, and offered plenty of choice.

There's a spacious private garage, and the place is clean and very modern. It isn't particularly cozy or romantic. The train station is right beside it, so light sleepers should keep the noise in mind.

Right in the center of Pombal, opposite the railway station. That can mean some noise, but otherwise the service is good, the rooms are clean, and the prices are reasonable.
