It was easy to spend time with other lovely people here, though there was also plenty of room to do my own thing. I even learned to throw pottery on a wheel thanks to the great neighbors. The rooms were comfortable, and the whole place felt so friendly and welcoming. I absolutely loved my stay at Vagabond Mermaid. Vanessa is an amazing host and really makes everyone feel at home.

Vanessa was so welcoming, spoke fluent English, and was always happy to share what she knows about the island. The peaceful part of Ponta Delgada where her home is located is only about a 10 minute walk from the center. It's a charming, comfortable place, and she also makes a delicious breakfast. Charlie, her dog, is calm and well behaved. I'd highly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone visiting São Miguel.

Breakfast was fresh, healthy, and delicious, and our host did so much to make the stay easy and enjoyable. She was warm, attentive, and knew the area very well. The guesthouse was spotless and cozy, and I felt at home there. It's close to the center but still quiet, with free street parking too. A real find. I'd gladly return, 10/10.
