We found it easy to unwind at this stylish little cottage, and I’d happily recommend it. It had everything we needed, and the owner kept in touch on WhatsApp in a really warm way, checking whether we were all right or needed anything. Even during a storm, he checked on us, which I appreciated. The slope is very steep, so parking was tricky at first, though we got used to it. There aren’t many places to eat nearby and the supermarket is small, but O Forno serves delicious BBQ, and the supermarket owner was friendly and happy to chat.

It’s very remote and wonderfully quiet, though you really need a car. With so little sun, the house felt a bit damp, and the heating wasn’t strong enough for March. I imagine it would be ideal in the middle of summer.

The sunset view from the lovely garden was a highlight, and the place is so quiet you can properly relax. We stayed in the slightly larger cottage. The driveway is quite steep, which could be difficult if you’re not used to it. Follow the main road to get there instead of taking the local turn your navigation suggests.

We had a really restful few days in the smaller cottage at the top. It’s sweetly furnished, with a view of the sun setting over the sea, and the owner sent helpful updates on WhatsApp and kept in touch. The narrow driveway and street take some care: you come up from below and need to reverse into the drive. It’s steep, around 45°, and might be a challenge for a new driver. We managed fine and had a lovely stay. Five stars.

The pool was lovely for cooling off, and the cottage was cozy, stylish, and furnished with care. With those stunning views and so much peace and quiet, it felt like a little paradise for nature lovers. It’s the nicest holiday cottage we’ve ever stayed in.
