The restaurant is well worth trying, with good-quality ingredients, and the staff are very friendly. It’s a lovely boutique hotel looking out over the ocean. The rooms are a little small, so I’d choose the suite if you stay there. It’s only 20m2, but the balcony has a stunning view.

We felt completely at home here, thanks to the kind, helpful staff. The hotel is amazing: the rooms are extremely clean, the ocean views are breathtaking, and the evening sunsets are quite a spectacle. The restaurant food is delicious too. We had an amazing stay and highly recommend experiencing this place.

The location worked really well for walks and made it easy to get to most of the island. We spent one week here during a two-week Madeira holiday, and in hindsight, I wish we’d stayed for the whole trip. The atmosphere, food, service, and staff were all so good. If you get the chance to stay here, do it.

Room 1908 let us dream with the moon and stars so close to the sky, while room 1901 gave us healing sunlight and the feeling of breathing with the ocean at night. Thank you, Zino's Palace, for giving us such warm, cosy shelter, just as you once gave the children as a school. It’s a wonderful feeling. Great place, great view, great palace!
