I was left without a room and had to find somewhere else to stay. As a solo female traveler, it was frightening to be without a safe place that night, and I ended up driving 30 minutes with all my luggage to pay much more for emergency accommodation. Booking.com eventually refunded me, but the host never responded on any platform, apologized, or explained what had happened, even months later. I still have no answer about why the communication was so poor. These people seem to just want your money. I couldn't get in: I was told to use a lockbox that wasn't there, and the front door code hadn't been sent. The lockbox code didn't work either. No one answered the doorbell, the emergency numbers, Booking.com, or WhatsApp. The listing mentioned private bathrooms for rooms and a service desk, but I couldn't find either. The place wasn't clearly labelled, and I even disturbed an elderly neighbor while trying to find someone. While trying to get inside, I got in through an open back door. The rooms I saw had keys left in them, which seemed to make it possible for someone to copy them. Another guest said people had just helped themselves, so it wasn't clear that guests would get the room they'd booked. The one room with a key that seemed free was small, dark, and bare, with mould on the skirting board. It looked like the kind of place that might have bed bugs. Most rooms also didn't have private bathrooms. Either someone had taken the room I paid for, despite the promised message with its name never arriving, or the advertised private bathroom may simply not exist. The accommodation never surfaced for me. Scam, minus one star.
