The outdoor space has a wonderful view, a pool, several water fountains, shady spots, and little romantic corners. Inside, the decor is kitsch, but you can tell a lot of effort went into making the place attractive and comfortable. The house had everything we could want in such a beautiful setting, and it was clean, with André, the owner, always available and so friendly. We stayed for two nights during our holiday drive from Spain to Lisbon, with my husband and daughter. We were welcomed with a bottle of champagne and a still-warm orange tart. So thoughtful! Congratulations, André.

From the house, the view is lovely and you can enjoy complete silence. It’s a great choice for a few restful days away from the crowds, and I’d definitely recommend it. On warm days, you can use the pool and sunbathe, making for a lovely stretch of downtime. The house itself is beautiful, rustic, and welcoming, with unique interior decor and lots of details I enjoyed. The owner was very kind, told us how the house got its name, and gave us a sweet welcome treat.

Summer afternoons by the pool are wonderful, and the welcome is even better than you’d expect. A great place to spend a few peaceful days, with an excellent reception. I highly recommend it!
