Casa Do Pinheiral

A lovely spot for getting close to nature. You can sit and listen to the birds and the sound of running water.

The view might be fine if you’re used to living among buildings, but it doesn’t feel like a typical apartment. The place sounds idyllic, though it really isn’t. The bed is extremely uncomfortable, the shower seems awkwardly fitted, and the kitchen is missing basic things. The terrace hammock can’t be used, and its railing wobbles so much it seems ready to fall. The electrical and gas setups also make it hard to have a peaceful stay.

The staff made us feel welcome and were very friendly. We also loved the views and quiet surroundings, with the river audible nearby. The main issue was the lack of protection from insects and damp, especially in the bedroom, where part of the room opens straight outside.

It was easy to get away from our routine and enjoy nature here. The space is unusual but welcoming, with everything we expected. It combines the comforts of a cabin with the feel of staying in a tent. There are two other cabins nearby, though we still had proper privacy, and everything went smoothly with the host.
