We were so glad we stopped walking for a day and stayed an extra night. The owner, Felipe, was incredibly kind and helpful, and gave us delicious bottles of wine from the vineyard. A big pink house among vineyards overlooking the town, with a pool, fruit trees, and breakfast brought to our patio. It felt like being on a movie set, and it was the most beautiful place we stayed on the Camino de Santiago. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Portugal.

The owners gave us the warmest welcome, with wine, a few cans of beer, and a basket of fruit waiting for us. The gardens around the property are lovely, and the pool is right at your doorstep. Breakfast was wonderful too. We’ll most certainly return. Alberto, Lila and Joaquim

Even a year later, we’re still thinking about our magical visit to Casa da Roseira. Felipe was a generous, caring host. If you're passing through Ponte de Lima, on the Camino or otherwise, and want a taste of home, I highly recommend it.

The pool was fantastic, and the house had air conditioning throughout, a fireplace for cold days, a fridge, a dining table, and a bathroom with a bathtub. Breakfast was brought to our room’s balcony, and the woman who served us was incredibly kind. There’s also a very sweet cat named Shakira who’s always around. Sr. Filipe was so attentive and gave us lots of itinerary tips for Gerês, where we went, as well as for the city. The place is beautiful and comfortable, and they made us feel at home. This was one of the best experiences I’ve had. The value for money was well worth it, even for a weekend getaway. I’d do it again.
