We spent a week at Casa de Chandezil in August and loved how easy it was to unwind there. The garden is huge, with chestnut trees, a hammock to lie in, and plenty of room for a walk or a quiet read. The pool was just right for our August visit. Pedro and Carla made us feel at home. They’re a friendly couple and we had some great conversations. The house is welcoming, with large rooms, a small kitchen, a private entrance, and lovely bathrooms. Thanks, Pedro&Carla, for such a memorable week. We’ll be back soon.

The Minho region felt almost magical, and this was a wonderful base for exploring it. You’ll need a car, though. The country house is beautiful and close to Ponte de Lima while still feeling rural. The hosts were warm, spoke perfect English as well as Portuguese, and were great to talk with. I didn’t get to spend much time at the house, but if I return to the area, I’ll probably stay here again. It felt like stepping out of the ordinary world into somewhere special.

Carla is very welcoming, and the house is close to the village. Our beds were comfortable, and the setting was quiet and full of trees. There are two bedrooms and a small sitting room with a fridge and kettle. Breakfast is served in a cozy room with everything you need to feel satisfied.
