The views are fantastic, and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. It’s a wonderful, spacious house that’s been in the same family for hundreds of years. We loved the location, with Braga, Guimaraes, Barcelos, Viana do Castelo, Ponte de Lima, the coast, National Park Peneda Geres, and Rio Lima all within reach. Or you can simply relax and enjoy the rest.

The garden looks out over the surrounding landscape, and the house itself is lovely, quiet, clean, and well cared for. The couple running it are discreet but very attentive and polite. A wonderful stay.

The pool water wasn't circulating, and the breakfast was very poor for the €105 we paid for one night. The bed was small, though the mattress was decent. The house has a lot of potential, but it needs renovation.

The pool has no fixed hours, so you can enjoy it beneath a lovely starry sky at night. The staff were warm and attentive, and the house sits in a spectacular, wonderfully peaceful setting.

It feels like stepping back in time, almost like visiting a museum, while still being a beautiful, cozy house. The people who live there make good hosts: respectful and quiet.
