Our hosts, Antonio and Catharina, made us feel welcome straight away. They found chairs for our babies and were lovely throughout. We could charge our electric car on the property, and breakfast was delicious, brought to us in a cute picnic basket. We had a wonderful night at the Herdade, surrounded by pine and cork trees, animals, and lots of open space between the houses. It's a magical, peaceful place. Thanks for everything, and sorry we took the room key! I hope it gets back to you quickly. All the best, Lukas & Sandra

We only got a short stay, which was a shame. The farm is lovely, and the guy who runs it is absolutely lovely too. The wine from the farm shop is bloody great. Such a homely, welcoming place.

The owner is a five star lad, and the rest of the staff are amazing too. Lovely place, clean rooms, delicious fresh bread at breakfast, and a pool where you can really unwind.

Derbi the dog, a rafeiro alentejano, is the best! There are lots of kind animals, and the staff are nice, as is the amiable owner. It's a rural, bucolic area, about 1.30 hour from Lisbon.

A great place to rest, with a fabulous breakfast and great employees. Douglas and his girlfriend are the best, and Derbi is really nice too.
