Jorge, the owner, was very friendly and happy to help with anything. We also found it easy to get to Evora, Estremoz and Arraimos. The stay itself was peaceful and restorative, with lovely views over the lake from a large bell tent on a raised deck. The bed was very comfortable despite its frame being made from recycled pallets. We appreciated the air conditioning and outdoor pool. The shower worked well and there was plenty of hot water. There's also direct lake access and a canoe, though we didn't use either. Nothing bothered us, but some things could be better. For self-catering, the kitchen was under-equipped: it had a fridge/freezer, microwave, single gas hob and pod coffee machine, but we had to ask for wine glasses, and there wasn't enough cutlery or kitchen equipment. The sink only had cold water, and its plug didn't work, so I bought a plastic washing-up bowl. Some shelves or another worktop might improve the layout. The shower leaked, so we had to mop the bathroom floor after each use, and the sink trap didn't get rid of all the smells. The facilities worked, but felt basic and unfinished.

A little gem with marvelous views and a wonderful private pool. There's a huge private beach beside the lake, and the sun stays out late on this side of the mountains, so the sunsets are lovely.

If you're thinking of coming here to rest, just run away! The photos don't match the place, and the service is poor. They describe a private beach, but it can hardly be called a beach. There are sheep everywhere, and their droppings make it impossible to walk around. The so-called kitchenette is basically just a single hotplate. The door doesn't feel secure, the windows won't close, and the air conditioning doesn't work. There's lots of brush and animals around. If you want somewhere to relax, this really isn't the right place.

Mr. Jorge was great and always available. It's an excellent place for anyone looking for peace and time in nature. Bring some food with you, though, because it's right out in the middle of nature.

I recommend this paradise 1000%. The wonderful scenery and the harmony of everything here bring such a feeling of peace. Sr Jorge is very helpful, and Helena is a sweetheart, always attentive and concerned about how you're doing. She's lovely company too. I went on holiday by myself, but felt very well accompanied, both by the surroundings and by Helena. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for peace and a chance to be close to nature.
