Convento da Provenca

The breakfast was great, and we’re already looking forward to coming back in summer to use the beautiful outdoor pool. Thank you, Silvia ❤️❤️❤️ The staff were incredible, and we had a magical stay after booking at the last minute. Inside, the convent felt like a museum, with lots of decorations, centuries-old armor and guns, and beautiful Portuguese furniture about 300 years old. There’s also an olive tree outside that’s over 2,000 years old, and kids will love playing in the garden. The place is stunning 😍.

The pool was massive and really clean, and I loved the little stone frog beside it. The food was good too, especially the cakes, and there’s free Wi-Fi. I stayed five nights with my parents and brother, and it was the best experience. The staff were funny, kind, and friendly, especially the guy at reception who explained the place to us. He was awesome to listen to. The room was cozy and very clean, with tiny decorations I was amazed by and a beautiful view from the window. A solid 10/10, please stay here, it’s so worth it!

We only stayed one night with our little one, but loved the whole experience at Convento da Provença. The convent sits in a stunning landscape, and we enjoyed the clear, star-filled sky at night. Our room was spacious and comfortable, making the short visit feel like a luxurious retreat. The host was very flexible and accommodating, and the welcoming staff were always ready to help. Breakfast was delightful, with plenty of choices for all our tastes. We’d highly recommend this unique, peaceful getaway and will return for a longer stay.

We had the place to ourselves and enjoyed the pool, breakfast, and lovely staff and owners. They’ve done a great job with it. The mattress was a little hard, and I woke with a bit of backache, but everything else was so good I still have to give it five stars. I’ll come back in future.
