Alvor Retreat at Vila Marachique

Really disappointing. We paid a lot in midsummer for an apartment advertised as having air conditioning, but there was none when we arrived. The agency said fans would be brought over within an hour, yet two hours passed and still nothing had arrived.

The location is excellent, and together they make this the best gated condominium in alvor. A place well worth visiting.

Everything was kept in great shape, from the apartment and building to the gardens, and the pool was lovely. The hosts, senhor Gérard and Francisca, were especially attentive. I highly recommend it.

The place was peaceful, with good facilities and a well-kept pool. Everything else was good, but the lack of Wi-Fi was a drawback. The water heater also had limited capacity for four people.
