The room was very clean, and the location by the river in downtown is great, though traffic noise is noticeable. The bed felt too hard for me, and there’s no breakfast. They spoke English well. It’s an older, very basic one-star hotel, and there aren’t amenities to make it a three-star place.

I had a room facing the River/square, which was especially lovely at night. The residence has private rooms with TV and climate control, some overlooking the square/River and others without that view. I stayed for two nights. The downsides were that the staff couldn’t speak English and the bathroom drain didn’t work properly. At times there was a bad smell coming from it.

There are plenty of excursion companies nearby for boat trips, and bus connections go to Lagos and other places. The hotel is right across from the marina in Portimão, and breakfast was good. The rooms are a decent size. Parking is free, but the hotel only has two spaces, so getting one can be tricky. Parking is free at night, and there are some alleys where you may find a free spot if needed.

We had a comfortable room and the owners were friendly. This lovely B&B is right beside Portimão marina and offers very good value for money. I booked four nights and would definitely recommend it.
