There’s plenty to do nearby, and the location is good. Our rooms were clean and spacious, ideal for families, and the staff were very supportive.

We had a top-floor apartment, and heavy rain caused water to leak from the kitchen ceiling on our last night. It didn’t really bother us at that point. Apart from that, almost everything was perfect: the apartment was clean and modern, there was plenty of free parking, a pool and other amenities, and reception was open 24/7.

Our room had a kitchenette and a balcony with a rack for drying towels and swimsuits. The hotel was clean, the staff friendly, and the location handy for the beach, a small supermarket, and free parking. The pool was disappointingly cold, even though it gets plenty of sun, so I can only put that down to a lack of willingness to warm it. The shower had nowhere to put soap or shampoo, which was annoying, and we had to rig something up to make it usable. I was also surprised there was a charge for the in-room safe. The last time I saw that was decades ago in Cuba.

The room near the staircase was noisy late at night, with tourists coming and going. The building feels old even if it has been renovated, and there’s no AC in either the room or bathroom. Bathroom ventilation barely works, the elevator is tiny and claustrophobic, and there are hardly any outlets by the bed. The beds feel like concrete, and they don’t wash your dishes. Gym access costs an extra €3, with another €3 for the spa, which is ridiculous. If I’d known those weren’t included, I’d never have booked.
