The first night, I noticed a stale almond-like smell when I entered the room, though I didn’t think much of it then. I’d booked a two-bedroom place just for myself for some much-needed rest before flying home, after staying here last summer. That turned out to be my last stay. I woke up with quite a lot of bites, and a few weeks later found out they were bedbugs. Getting rid of them at home took months and nearly 1000 euros. AVOID

The little touches in the kitchen made a difference, Manuela had salt and spices there, so cooking a good dinner was easy. There’s a full floor with a kitchen and dining spaces, and everything is equipped. The rooms and the rest of the guesthouse look new, are nicely decorated, and feel lovely. Out back, the pool area has loungers, comfy seats, tables, and a barbecue. A model guesthouse. 11/10

I came for two nights and ended up staying four. The place is great for slowing down and relaxing, with a lovely pool and facilities. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. It’s in a quiet neighborhood, with supermarkets close by and the beaches not far away.

The owner clearly takes care of the place and makes an effort to help guests feel welcome and comfortable. Everything was incredibly clean, and the facilities are new. Breakfast was amazing and fresh. The pool and barbecue area are lovely and modern too. I only wish I could’ve stayed longer!

The beach is about a 30-minute walk away, so it’s a bit of a distance, but I had a great stay. Our twin room had air conditioning, and there’s a large, open kitchen and shared area. The pool is small, though a nice extra, and the hostess was lovely.
