NDS Prestige Guest House and Suites - NDS Hotels

The location is fantastic. Step out of NDS Guesthouse, look right, and there’s the sparkling blue river, with a long esplanade for walking and a path for biking. The rooms are spotlessly clean, and the WiFi, refrigerator, shower, heater, and TV all worked perfectly. Vitor hosts NDS Prestige and was so kind, capable, and gracious. He personally makes a lovely breakfast for guests each morning. NDS Guesthouse is a real gem, and so is Vitor!

Manager Vitor was very helpful and provided great service, many thanks to him. The hotel is right in central Portimao old town, and the rooms are clean, calm, and quiet. Breakfast and coffee were good too. I highly recommend staying here.

We saw several rooms available for our date on the booking website, but arrived without a reservation. After spending an hour trying to find the place, we checked availability again and knocked, but nobody answered. There were no lights on and the place seemed completely silent. I called, and the man who answered said they were fully booked. He didn’t apologize and didn’t seem to care. We had to find somewhere else urgently. Later I checked the listing again, and rooms still showed as available to book. A few hours later they were gone. I guess that kind of attitude toward guests isn’t the best, and it caused a real problem for us. I’d never book with them, even if I had the chance.

The host was nice, and the room was clean. We could walk to some nice restaurants. Our balcony didn’t have much of a view, and the room near the street got noisy in the mornings because of passing cars.
