Plaza Real by Atlantic hotels

We stayed for a week in one of the apartments at Peter Village, not in the hotel itself. It was a lovely, clean place with a beautiful garden and pool, and our couple's stay was perfect. The apartment had everything we needed. They say the seven apartments sleep four, but there's only one bed and a sofa bed. You'll need a car to get there and to reach other places. A couple of downsides: the air conditioning is only in the living room, though leaving the bedroom door open is okay. The beds are really hard, you can feel the springs.

Back for my fifth visit in two years. The apartments are roomy, the staff are friendly, and there's a great pool. The bar food is delicious and the cocktails are good value. Praia da Rocha is just a short walk away.

There's always parking on the property or along the street, and the grounds are beautiful and well kept. The pool looked clean and wasn't too busy in June. For the price, this is a good place to stay. Our T2 apartment had two floors, two balconies, two bathrooms, and spacious bedrooms. The kitchen came with pretty much everything, including a kettle, microwave, pans, and pots. It could use some renovation, though: the bathroom was rusty and the living room sofa was worn out. Breakfast was a letdown. Though called continental, the selection was quite small: croissants, bread, ham, cheese, cereal, butter, and coffee. Eggs would have been a welcome addition. The restaurant space itself is nice and comfortable. Overall, the price-to-quality ratio is very good and worth the money.

The restaurant and bar by reception had fantastic food. The burger was fresh, nearly half a pound, and really good. The place was exceptionally clean, and the lady running it was lovely. I'd recommend it. Our apartment was large with a decent balcony, but it could use an update. The two single camp beds were okay for sharing, but too small and uncomfortable for a couple. The kitchen was short on pots and other basics. It was clean inside, but there's no cleaning service, so you'll need to keep it that way yourself. It met our needs, though with what holidays cost these days, Europe needs to raise its accommodation game.
