The room was great, with a comfy bed, a fab shower, and amazing views of both the sea and mountains. Magna was a wonderful host. She texted when we arrived in town, then came to meet us when Google Maps caused trouble as we climbed the hill. She explained which steps to take and drove us to the accommodation. We stayed four nights and recommend it, and we’ll return. We didn’t have a car, so the walk up and down can be tough for some. Porto Moniz has great sights, including cliffs along the main street, two amazing sea pools, and a lovely beach with incredible views. It gets busy with people driving around the island, but we recommend staying a few days. There are decent walks along the old roads from before the tunnels were built, some excellent local cafes, and we also ate at the property. There was a small fridge, kettle, plates, and cutlery. On the day we left, we planned to take the bus to Sao Vicente, but Magna said she was heading our way.

Magna gave us a lovely welcome, and the view from her house in the hills of Seixal is amazing. The bedroom and bathroom were good for the price, which was very good. There was a bit of damp in the room, but breakfast with that view makes you quickly forget it.

The guesthouse sits on a hill in Seixal, about a 10-minute walk from the town center, and the view from the room is unbeatable. There’s a dining table in the front yard, so you can eat outside. The toilet and shower are separate, and a small shared fridge means you have what you need. It’s quiet around here, and I recommend it.

The terrace has a magnificent view, the location is great, and the bed is very comfortable. The building is quite damp, though. It rained a lot while we were there, so we couldn’t get our clothes dry. That was the only downside.

A charming little place with a great view and very good value. There’s a fan heater and dehumidifier for the colder, damp months, and enough hot water for a long shower.
