2U Oporto urban stays

I liked the idea of the place, and the room was more spacious than I'd expected, but my stay was pretty poor. There was a bad smell, which I think came from mold and the pipes, and airing out the apartment barely helped. One night I was stuck outside in the cold, on an empty street, for half an hour because the entry keypad batteries had run out. There isn't a reception, and that caught me out. The caretaker was nice and came right away to change the batteries, so I can't fault him. They should probably keep them charged to prevent this happening. The room was also horribly cold. The heater either made it unbearably hot or switched off completely, no matter what setting I used.

We waited nearly 45 minutes for a key after arriving at three. Inside, there was dust everywhere and cobwebs. When we asked for the place to be cleaned, they made the bed and mopped, but left the bathroom dirty. A very bad experience. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

I’d let them know when I expected to arrive, but nobody was there to let me in and it seemed they’d forgotten. I had to find another hotel, luckily without much trouble. I’d paid in advance, so now I’m trying to get my money back. Very bad experience.

The place was clean, modern, and in a central spot, and check-in was easy. The staff were lovely. I’d definitely recommend it.
