The good points are the tasty breakfast, decent location near the historic center, clean and airy rooms, and a nice balcony in mine. Jorbert was a real asset in the breakfast area. But the room was very small for the price, about 15m2, with no soundproofing. I could hear the neighbors' phone calls, and a door closing made me think there'd been an earthquake. The rooms have a safe and fridge, but no bathtub. In my upgraded balcony room I got a nespresso machine, though I would have preferred a kettle for tea. For 116 euros a night, which wasn't even the price of my upgraded room, I expected more. My Hilton Diamond recognition was okay, but being asked for a 40 euro per day deposit felt unheard of and left a bad aftertaste. At least Hilton top tier members should be exempt from this doubtful practice.

I spent a full week here on my own and appreciated how welcoming all the staff were. From my balcony on the left next to the light, I could see a good spot for a drink, brunch, or takeaway. Thank you! The hills and steps are killer, so be ready, but they're worth it.

I spent most of my stay in the very comfortable bed after a medical near-emergency, so I only got to enjoy one fine dinner. The staff took extremely good care of me and checked periodically that I was well enough. I loved my stay, though I wish I'd been able to try more of the masterful chef's cooking. Fish lovers should try the croaker. It has a fine, omega-3 taste, and it's not commonly found in North American restaurants.

We were there almost a week, with three separate rooms on the same floor. The hotel is in a quiet part of Porto, but most places of interest are walkable. We loved the comfortable beds and breakfast. The selection wasn't huge, but the warm and cold choices were enough, with yummy pastries and pastel de nata. Jorbert from the breakfast team remembered how we liked our coffee, and the front desk staff were all friendly and great. You get to experience Porto's vibe through them. Shout out to Ines and Marco at the front desk. We'd definitely come back.
