The neighborhood felt very safe, and there was a nice park nearby. We loved the apartment's location and that we could bring our dog without an extra fee. The apartment was well equipped, and I especially liked that it had an oven. We enjoy cooking breakfast and dinner, though I missed having a Dolce Gusto or similar coffee machine, and a newer TV with Smart TV. That might sound superficial, but it would be handy on a rainy day when you spend more time indoors. Free parking is possible if you know where to look, such as R. Duque da Terceira or Miradouro das Fontinhas. Otherwise, on weekdays between 9:00 and 19:00, you can't park for free in front of the apartment or nearby. You have to pay and move the car after 2 or 4 hours depending on the street. The Poveiros car park seemed expensive to me, at 50€ for 72 hours or 35€ for 48 hours.

The location is excellent if you want to explore, with easy parking at the door and public transport nearby. You can walk into the city center. The place was welcoming and would work well for two couples. I wouldn't recommend it for young children because the wooden staircase isn't safe for them. The upper bed has no side guard, so anyone sleeping up there could fall. Rails are needed, even if they're made in the same style. I'm giving it three stars because of the safety issue and the lack of care for small children.

The terrace was fantastic, with sunshine, a parasol, and chairs for sitting with coffee or wine after a day out or in the evening. Inside, the apartment felt cozy and the beds were comfortable. It's centrally located near good cafes and restaurants, the shopping street, and the market. The nostalgic train costs €6 and makes for a pleasant 45-minute ride, then there's a short walk along the seafront. 😃

I really liked this place. The room and beds were very comfortable, and both the room and bathroom were spotless. Having a kitchen with all the details thought through was a nice touch. Its central location means you can walk to everything, which is a big advantage. If you find yourself in Porta, it's an easy place to stay.
