What made this a five-star stay was Paulo, the host. He was accommodating, kind, and incredibly helpful. When I arrived with a lot of heavy luggage, he immediately checked whether he could move me to an apartment on a lower floor instead of the higher one I’d been assigned. Later, when the fridge stopped working, he offered me access to the apartment next door to use its fridge over the weekend until a repairman could come Monday. I declined because I didn’t want to cause trouble or disrupt his business or other possible guests. The apartment itself was clean and well designed, and the location was wonderful, just a 5-10 minute walk from key attractions. Highly, highly recommended.

Eliana was a very friendly and helpful host, and we had a great stay in October. The apartment was clean, well equipped, and close to lots of restaurants. We could walk to nearly all the attractions. The two small drawbacks were the bathroom, which needs an upgrade, and the wifi, which didn’t work well with our old electronics. We’d recommend the place and would stay again.

We arrived to a warm welcome, with the staff waiting at the agreed time. We stayed in the two-level apartment for four people, which was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, with a beautiful private terrace. Belas artes is in a decent spot, about ten minutes from the Sé, the bridge over the Douro, Sao Bento Station, and Bolhao market. Definitely recommended.

You can pick up breakfast or snacks at the local bakeries nearby. The apartment is cozy, very clean and quiet, and the location is really nice. Good value for money!
