BessaHotel Baixa

The birthday gift from the team was a lovely surprise and made the stay feel more special. I also felt at home thanks to the cozy atmosphere and warm hospitality. The rooms were elegant, comfortable, and spotless, and the staff were attentive and friendly. The spa was fantastic, and the large pool was perfect for unwinding. I had a wonderful stay at BessaHotel Baixa and would highly recommend it.

The check-in was the biggest frustration. We arrived with a confirmed booking made months earlier that clearly included parking, but were asked to pay much more than the agreed amount. It seemed to be a problem with the hotel's system, and we had to insist on the original price, which delayed getting checked in. We spent four nights here, and my feelings about the stay are mixed. The location made getting around easy, the staff were welcoming, and their restaurant suggestions were excellent. The hotel and room looked modern and clean, with the essentials generally covered. But the room was quite dark, which made mornings difficult. Requests at reception also seemed to turn into a hassle. They wouldn't provide extra coffee capsules, and we couldn't get a wine opener, both of which seemed like basic items for a hotel at this level. The good location, friendly staff, and modern facilities were positives, but the service lacked flexibility and the check-in problems took away from the experience.

The desk staff gave us such a warm, thoughtful welcome, and their tips on places to see and dinner were excellent. The rooms were great, with very comfortable beds, and the location was handy for exploring Porto's city center. We also enjoyed the spa and its good-sized indoor pool. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The staff were extremely friendly, polite, and helpful, and the free Wi-Fi worked very well. We stayed for a week in October, and the hotel was stylish, modern, comfortable, and spotlessly clean, with generous-sized rooms. Its location was good too, with attractions within walking distance and metro stations nearby. The food was good, especially in the restaurant, though we found the menu a little limited. There's also a gym and pool, which I didn't use, but I'm sure they're up to the same high standard. I'd happily stay here again.
