The location is excellent, right in the city center, with everything within walking distance. Our room, 3F, was spacious, bright, and had big windows and lovely features typical of Porto houses. A real plus was being able to darken it completely. We also had all the equipment we needed, which says a lot coming from a young family with a seven-month-old baby. We had a great stay and would highly recommend it.

You’re right in the middle of the old town, with bars and places to eat whichever way you head. Before I arrived, I got all the stay details in a message, and everything went smoothly. The apartment had what I needed, including laundry tablets and a drying rack.

The staff weren’t forthcoming when we raised issues, and after we complained and left early, we were still charged for extra nights and a cancellation fee. The room had a sewage and moldy smell, was dusty, and the towels smelled bad. We only got about five minutes of hot water in the shower. The kitchen panels and appliances were broken. Absolutely not recommended.

I stayed for a week and would be happy here for a few days or longer. The room was nicely decorated and the bedding was perfect, and I was glad the kitchen had the basics plus a washing machine. There was a small sign asking for tourist tax, which I’d already paid through airbnb. It didn’t mention that, though. Not a real problem, but I imagine some guests might not check their airbnb receipt.

The location is perfect and the place is spacious. It’s a little old-fashioned, there’s no elevator or AC, and they added an extra €2 travel tax. We also couldn’t reach anyone when we had questions.
