Charming Antas House

We loved the fast internet and the cheerful indoor and outdoor spaces, and breakfast was good too. The owners have decorated the house beautifully and made us feel at home. We walked to the historic center in 50 minutes, though an Uber costs 4 euros. The area seemed quiet and safe to us. One of my best Booking experiences.

We stayed three nights and would gladly come back. Manuela and Joao gave us excellent service, and communication with the owners was easy and quick. They even offered an early check-in, which was really convenient. They also had city maps and trip suggestions for us, plus a metro card we could top up. We had the Cream Suite. It was spacious, spotless, and very dark at night, with A/C. Even the towels smelled like baby powder. Breakfast was delicious, with homemade food throughout. The hotel is a beautiful home converted into a small hotel. It has few rooms, great service, and plenty of privacy, if that's what you're after.

Manuela made us feel welcome with a handwritten note in our room and two glasses of lovely Port wine. When I asked if the large single bed could be made into two beds, even though I hadn't requested that earlier, she arranged it without a problem. She's such a kind, friendly host, and having somewhere this nice to return to each day made for a wonderful holiday. Muito obrigado Manuela. We stayed three nights during Rally Portugal. The rooms were beautiful, and the Porto underground is only a few minutes' walk away, with a quick ride into the town center. Off-street parking was easy, and there was a lovely cafe/bar/restaurant nearby too. I recommend this hotel without reservation.

We came back to Charming Antas House for a second visit this year. The welcoming hosts, the home's distinctive character and decor, and the brilliant breakfasts were all reasons to return. It's also conveniently located and has secure parking. Highly recommended!
