The reception guy was really nice and gave me plenty of information about the city. My room looked good, the beds were comfortable, and the towels were soft and smelled lovely, like at the most luxurious hotels. The hotel is in a beautiful old building, though there isn't an elevator.
The room was dated, but very clean, and even had a walk-in robe. WiFi was good and the staff were friendly. It's a bit farther out, so getting into town means an uphill walk. The only real issue was the thin walls. I could hear people snoring in the adjoining room.
The staff went above and beyond, even staying in touch while they shipped my forgotten AirPods internationally. They were also helpful with tips on local sights, eateries and attractions. The rooms were super clean and well kept, and it was a charming place to stay in Porto. Thanks for having me, I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting.
The location is absolutely great, and the staff are so friendly. My room was simple but cosy, with everything I needed. I also loved the wooden floor, much better than having a rug.
I've never stayed in a better boutique hotel. The Art Nouveau exterior and stairs are wonderful, and the place ticked all my boxes. The room was spotless, the curtains kept it dark enough to sleep, and it was completely quiet. Tourist highlights are an 8-18 minute walk away. There's unlimited homemade cake, tea and coffee at any hour. Breakfast costs an extra 12 euro and was well worth it, with a full continental spread and hot options like scrambled eggs. Porto also charges a 2 euro government tourist tax per night. The staff were attentive and genuinely friendly. They gave us good tips for Flea/Craft Markets and other places of interest, brought extra pillows when we asked, called taxis whenever we needed, and stored our bags until our airport departure. They even came to the door to wave goodbye. This hotel made Porto memorable. I've included photos of the outside and inside, the charming basement breakfast room, reception and exterior. Enjoy!
