Charming House Cedofeita

Such a lovely place for the money, with a wonderful room and ultra-kind staff. But don't expect a good night's sleep. The walls and ceilings seem paper-thin. We were awake two nights in a row just from the couple next door whispering. Such a shame with so much else going for the house.

The house itself was charming, just as the name suggests, and the owner was lovely. Breakfast was nice too. The downside was the walk back: it took me 30 minutes uphill each time, and felt a bit scary at night. The hotel is a little far from the main street, and the area around it felt quiet and rather dead, with buildings still being built or remodeled. If you're alone without a car, especially if you're a woman, I'd think it over. Other than that, I liked the place.

It's a little enchanting gem, and the name really fits. Jureima, who works there, is lovely and always happy to help. I definitely recommend it, especially for couples. Just keep your luggage light: there's no elevator. The staff will help with bags, but big, heavy suitcases aren't ideal here.

The woman in charge is just lovely, so charming. The place is really nice and breakfast has a great selection. If I return to Porto, I'll be back to that little paradise.
