Click! Apartment by JC

We were left without access to the apartment, and our holiday was ruined. At 3:05 pm the owner blocked my number. We called at 3:29 from another phone, and he answered but gave a very vague explanation for why nobody had come. He blocked that number too. At 3:39 a woman called and said her husband was on his way, but laughed when we asked when he would arrive. Nobody showed up or called again. By 4 pm, convinced we had been deceived, we booked another apartment very close by through Booking and closed the original reservation. After we cancelled, the owner messaged that he had been waiting for us and that we never came. That isn’t true. We had missed calls to him, and he hadn’t tried to reach us. He had also sent a message saying he was waiting, which was false. The apartment quickly appeared available on Booking again. It hadn’t been available that morning, so we believe it was booked a second time for the same dates and the owner was paid twice. We don’t accept Booking’s response that the apartment has good reviews. People deceived this way can’t leave a negative review, so those ratings aren’t reliable. Booking also didn’t respond positively to our complaint. We feel we were defrauded, and the owner will get money for the second booking as well. The host of Click! Apartment by JC intentionally waited until we closed the reservation, then claimed he had been waiting for us. We had no reason not to go to the apartment. Our experience was on 26 September 2022.
