Costa Verde Residencial

The only downside for us was being away from the city center, though bus 600 stops 50 meters from the residence and gets you there for €2. The stay and service were pleasant, and the breakfast was very complete. The shared kitchen was efficient, and there was also a washing machine, an iron, and a small area to dry clothes. The owner speaks very little Spanish. I'd definitely stay again.

We had the room with the pink beds. It was really noisy, the bed was awful, and breakfast at the café downstairs was no good. Mold in the bathroom corners, and the place felt dark and stuffy. The phone rang several times during the night. Avoid it.

Breakfast was poor, served off-site at a café with very few choices. When we asked the employee for the Wi-Fi password, she said it wasn't posted because people usually ask, but she still didn't give it to us. We didn't ask again. Over our three nights, nobody checked whether we wanted fresh towels or bed linen. The room also had little sound insulation: in the morning, voices in the corridor sounded as though they were inside, and there was almost no privacy. We weren't told how the shower worked, so we let the water run while getting ready and ended up showering in nearly cold water. The heater seemed like something from the 1970s, kept switching off, and made strange noises. Finding the place was difficult because it wasn't well located. At check-in they said checkout would be at 10:30 if someone else needed the room, even though Booking.com listed noon. The room also looked quite different from the photos. The pictures may be real, but they only highlight the accommodation's strong points. When we first went out on New Year's Eve, we were asked if we'd be back very late, apparently for the convenience of the person serving us. She was attentive, but came to help us in her socks, and we hadn't been given a key to the main door. It felt like spending the weekend at my mother-in-law's. We do not recommend it!

Our room, the green one in the photo, was so narrow you could hardly turn around, though the bathroom was okay. It's a small, family-run place, and they speak very little English. It was also hard to find because the “Residencial Costa Verde” sign had been taken down.
