The location gets a 10/10, close to everything but on a quiet street, and the rooms were just as advertised, quiet, and nicely appointed. Barbara at reception was awesome, and Anna, who cleaned the room, remembered how we liked it set up. Breakfast was pretty solid, as long as you don’t expect too much. We had a great two-day stay and would definitely come back.

Joaquim, our airport shuttle driver, was first class. He dropped us at departures and made sure we found our check-in. The hotel also has a water refill station, which is a nice, environmentally friendly touch, and the staff were really warm and helpful. Breakfast was magnificent. We stayed in a Deluxe Studio and had loads of space, even with two large suitcases. The layout was cleverly arranged, with the bathroom, kitchen, and storage set apart from the sleeping area. The shower was wonderful, and the body wash and shampoo were very high quality. The double glazing and insulated shutters kept out both the street noise and the light. It’s on a quiet street, yet less than a minute from landmarks and plenty of great places to eat and drink. The quality is impressive for the price, and I’d happily stay again and recommend it.

The only real snag was that our room was in the rear building, which has no elevator. Carrying things up on the first day was a bit of a challenge. There is an elevator in the main entrance building, where some of the rooms are. Otherwise, we were very happy here. The hotel is central but set back on a side street, so it felt nicely removed from the crowds and noise. We liked the decor in both the hotel and our room, and breakfast was sweet, tasty, and more than enough. Thanks to the kind, friendly reception staff too.

Barbara looked after us so well, and the team added a thoughtful little gesture for our celebration. Our rooms were spacious, spotless, and even smelled great. We finished our Porto stay at d’Alma Boutique, a lovely end to some unforgettable days exploring the city. Highly recommend it.

The Family studio was amazing, with two bedrooms and three full bathrooms spread over two floors. I’d worried a little about breakfast beforehand, but there was plenty of variety and it was delicious. The staff were so friendly, too. You can walk to just about everything from here, and there are lots of bars, coffee shops, and restaurants nearby. I’d recommend d’Alma Boutique Hotel to anyone.
