We found bed bugs in Room 402 on our last night, after staying at MyStay Porto São Bento from March 19 to 21. It completely spoiled our time in Porto. We had to travel on to another city right away, and spent a lot of that trip anxious about bringing bugs along in our luggage. Weeks later, we're still deep-cleaning our belongings and dealing with the stress of it. Finding bed bugs is a serious hygiene and health problem, and it was deeply upsetting. The discovery overshadowed our whole stay. I strongly recommend avoiding this place until professional steps have been taken to make the rooms safe for guests.

The location is great, but the AI-based service was pretty poor. The human staff were absolutely fine with me, but that doesn't help enough when problems come up. I'd skip breakfast too, it isn't worth a penny.

I had a clean room and my own bathroom, with a simple, modern layout. The best part is the location, right behind the famous SÃO BENTO train station and within walking distance of all the interesting downtown sights. Perfect for a day or two in Porto!

The room had mold and mildew on the bathroom ceiling, and since I'm allergic I had to sleep with the balcony door open. Trains screeching into the nearby station and occasional loud, mysterious beeps kept me company all night. There was no real staff to turn to, just AI sending polite, pre-programmed replies. When I tried to change rooms for health reasons, I couldn't reach anyone, and the WhatsApp number in the room might as well have been wall decoration. The price wasn't lower than much nicer places I'd stayed in Porto, all just as easy a 15-minute walk from the center. Being "right in the middle" didn't make the mold, noise, and lack of human help worth it. If you enjoy those things and chatting with robots, this is your spot. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

If listening to people scream through the night sounds good, you'd love it here. We barely slept. The shower was half covered in mold, and we couldn't shut the window because we still needed to breathe. Great for chaos and fungi, maybe, but otherwise I'd look elsewhere.
