Feel Porto Codeçal Apartment 2.2

The location is near the river, but reaching it takes many stairs from either the river side or the old town. The room we were in, 2.1, had a shower door that didn’t seal, so water ran into the hall unless the bathmat caught it. Shutting or holding the door harder made no difference. Visible mold and water damage suggest it’s been happening a long time, and the bathroom smelled of black mold and mildew, the kind that can cause respiratory problems. There was also permanent black mold damage on the hallway floor. Despite decent amenities, location, and service, the cleanliness issue made the room a health hazard and drove my poor rating. We emailed and called Feel Porto. Their customer service agents were attentive and responsive, and offered room 2.2, but it had the same problem. After we insisted that the black mold was a health issue, they eventually moved us to Feel Porto Clerigos. We also had to push to get the taxi to the new place covered. The room was terrible, but customer service did understand the issue and tried to find a workable solution.

Clara gave us a nice tour and included some tips. The apartment was clean and easy to enter with the app, and Feel porto is always focused on what customers need. We really liked the service and the attention we received. The apartment is on a level where you have to climb stairs. It’s in the middle of central Porto, with the “harbour” and its terraces and weekend entertainment downstairs.

The apartment has a wonderful location, and we could walk everywhere easily and always felt safe. The view was breathtaking, and we spent each evening on the balcony with a glass of wine. The street gets busy in daylight, but it was quiet at night and we couldn’t hear noise inside. The bed was comfortable, and we slept peacefully all three nights. Wi-Fi was great, the host was kind, and check-in was easy. We arranged a ride from the train station at Camphana, and they arrived on time and helped with our bags. This was the highlight of our two-week Portugal trip. My partner and I loved it and recommend the place to anyone. If you’re out of shape and can’t walk the stairs, that’s your own problem. Don’t come to the country if you can’t handle stairs or hills. We love Feel Porto.

The staff took care of everything, and the service, including breakfast, was nice. The apartment is pleasant and centrally located, with a river view. It’s close to the Luiz I bridge, so there are lots of stairs to climb to get there, but stairs and hills are part of Porto. The nearby tram is a little loud, though we slept well. The morning river view makes up for it.
