Fontinha House

The staff were quick to help even with unusual requests, like arranging video conferences for work, which made our stay easier. Our group of friends found Hotel Fontinha very comfortable, with generous breakfasts and a lovely terrace for relaxing. The room had a king-size bed with a very good mattress, thick curtains, and excellent room service. Getting around was convenient, about a 10-minute walk downhill to a pedestrian street, with a supermarket and cafés nearby. I’d gladly return and definitely recommend Hotel Fontinha.

10 out of 10! The breakfast was the highlight. The chef puts real thought into it, from the homemade coffee, which is much better than the machine coffee, to the fresh, crunchy cucumber with the skin peeled and seeds removed. The yogurt also seemed homemade and was refreshing with the cucumber. And the croissants were perfectly crisp and delicious. When I had gastroenteritis and couldn’t go down to the restaurant, the chef packed breakfast and brought it to my room. I’m sorry I couldn’t enjoy breakfast downstairs every day, and I’d come back for it. The room was very comfortable too, and the receptionist Roben or Robinson, sorry, I forgot which name, the one with glasses, was extremely kind and professional. People who work with that kind of dedication deserve to be noticed. Wishing everyone a very happy New Year!

On arrival, we found a complimentary bottle of wine and a small cake to celebrate our anniversary, such a lovely surprise. The room was cute and comfortable, with a spacious shower, a noise-proof window, and blackout curtains. There was a good buffet breakfast to choose from. We loved this hotel in Porto and would definitely be happy to return.

The location is very convenient, close to the city center but away from the noise. The hotel is modern and nicely decorated, with friendly staff and super clean rooms. Highly recommended.
