The bathroom was the worst part. It was clearly meant to have a shower door, but the door was missing, and that took a whole point off for me. The room had no A/C, though it did have opening windows and a fan, which we put in the open window to cool things down. Our room was private, but we shared a bathroom and kitchenette with another room. There was a hot water maker, hot plate, sink, and some dishes. Arriving late at night, we used a code at the unmarked, hard-to-find front door, then another to open a wall safe with two keys, one for the suite and one for our room. We’d booked ahead on Booking.com and had no payment problems like some other people mentioned. Honestly, it wasn’t the worst, as long as you keep your expectations in check. I’d stay again for a quick, cheap trip, but not for a fancy romantic week.

Clean, nice, and affordable, with a good location, though it wasn’t easy to find. There were no signs, so I had to look up a photo of the building. It also felt a bit impersonal, with no human interaction at all.

The reception team were really helpful, and the location puts you right in the city. The boutique apartments were excellent, everything felt just right.

The smell was awful, there was an old, unidentified substance in the fridge, and after a day the shared toilet had run out of paper with nobody around to restock it. The worst part came at 1 a.m., when several men who barely spoke English repeatedly banged on our door, insisting we owed the €2-per-person city tax. We had already left it in the safe as instructed, but they said they wouldn't go until we paid more. When I went downstairs to check, the money we'd left was gone. It felt like an extortion scam aimed at tourists in the building, relying on people being too intimidated to call the police or report it, especially in the middle of the night. Absolutely a scam. Don't stay here.
