The main living and dining kitchen area in room Vermelha was fine, with everything we needed. The bedroom was another matter: just a double bed, a small shower with atrocious water pressure, and a toilet under the stairs behind a sliding door. I lost count of how many times I hit my head. Honestly, I regret choosing it. It's a 30 minute walk uphill from the riverside area. Bolhao is okay, but I think it's worth spending extra to stay closer to the river. We didn't mind going out for breakfast. Cafe David was grand, but we preferred the second cafe. They had coffee, fresh orange juice, croissants, toast, and plenty of other options for a very cheap extra charge. A filling breakfast never cost more than €4 extra.

The owners Fatima and Calo were wonderful hosts, attentive, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was great too. This is a very comfortable, well equipped apparthotel in a magnificent restored traditional Porto house, and it's well situated, just a 10 minute walk to the Ribeira quarter.

The apartment was just a short walk from the city center, and our room was spacious, spotless, and had its own terrace. Fatima and Carlo were warm and gave us tips on places to visit around Porto. Breakfast was lovely too, especially the fresh orange juice served out on the terrace. We had a perfect stay.

The landlords were incredibly kind, and breakfast arrived right at our room. It was delicious, and the room itself had plenty of space and was well equipped. I stayed for a few days and loved it. If I return to Porto, I wouldn't choose anywhere else.

We spent a long weekend at the Gardenia and would happily come back. The owners were so helpful, sharing detailed advice on things to see and places to have dinner. Breakfast was brought up to our room each morning, with lovely fresh fruit.
