The room looked modern and was spotless, and the shower had plenty of hot water with good pressure. Still, it was hard to shower without soaking the floor, and the SMEG fridge never got cold enough for a beer. Sound carries everywhere: traffic, the lift, upstairs showers, and neighbours shutting their doors. Bring earplugs.

The bathroom's clear glass was a little strange at first, though the blinds made it comfortable. The hotel itself was clean, cozy and modern, with a nice breakfast buffet and very polite staff. It's a bit away from the center, and the roadworks made traffic a nightmare, but there's a bus stop just two minutes away.

I couldn't find anywhere to put my clothes, so I ended up using the table and the room's one chair. My first room faced the street and was really noisy, but the staff found me a quieter one at the back. The hotel is clean and modern, everyone was helpful, and breakfast was very good with plenty of seats.

The location worked well, about a 30-minute walk or a short Uber ride from the center, and the fitness room had the basics for a decent workout. The rooms are a little small but have what you need. I noticed some wear, including the rubber at the bottom of the shower door, which made the room feel less clean. We stayed for a week and paid extra hoping for a good night's sleep away from busy streets, but the poor sound insulation meant noise from outside and other rooms kept waking us. Even on the 7th floor it felt like the windows were open down on the 2nd. Doors were especially loud, and an outdoor event kept us up for hours over the weekend. Staff tried to help when we raised it, but there were no other rooms available, apart from an accessible one beside noisy kitchen machines. After we complained, we felt the staff stopped greeting us, which was a bit unwelcoming. It's a shame, because the hotel could have earned a higher rating otherwise. Bring earplugs!
