The location was good and the bed was comfortable, but I can't see how this place has four stars. Service was very limited: there was just one person at the desk, and nobody to help carry suitcases up the entrance stairs. The shower flooded the whole bathroom and the room carpet. The staff seemed unconcerned and only gave us extra towels to dry things. The room had very little decoration, and the hotel's decor looked dated and cheap instead of vintage, even though I usually love art deco.

The staff were friendly, and the hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a good spot. My room had a balcony, though I know they don’t all have one. The only letdown was that I couldn’t mirror or cast my device to the TV.

We loved the garden, and everyone was so thoughtful. Marianna and Ricardo helped us with check-in and advice on getting back safely, which made the stay even better. It’s a charming boutique hotel right near everything. I’d happily recommend it.

As a solo woman, I felt safe on the nearby streets both day and night, and the staff were super helpful and attentive. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a classic art deco look, right in central Porto. Most places were about a 4 to 15 minute walk away. My street-facing room picked up some weekend noise from the nearby bars, but it wasn’t too bad and I slept fine. I loved staying here and will definitely come back.
