The apartment was comfortable and in a good spot, with a decent kitchenette and bathroom. But the temperature inside was uncomfortable, warmer than outside even with the heater off. For summer, a fan really isn’t enough, it needs air conditioning. Sunday check-out is tricky too: you can’t leave your bags at the office, and public lockers may already be full, so you might spend your last few hours in Porto carrying your luggage around. Check-in at 5:00pm and check-out at 11am also felt like an uneven deal.

There weren’t enough hooks or shelves in the bathroom, and the summer heat was a bigger problem. With no air conditioning, we had to keep the windows open at night, despite facing a noisy intersection that stayed loud even after dark. It left us exhausted and made sleeping difficult. The apartment was clean, well equipped, and well located, but we came away disappointed.
