Carla, the owner, was really nice and helpful. I spent a lovely week at Tryoporto. The apartment is close to the center and river, but the street is quiet enough to sleep well. The room and kitchen are roomy and comfortable. The bathroom is a little small, but fine. I definitely recommend it.

Dirty and mouldy, with only the ceiling lights working. Stay away.

The location was a big reason we chose this apartment, but the problems outweighed that advantage. It smelled like a mix of mould, insect poison and bleach, and there was loud construction directly across a shared wall. The owner knew the work was happening, yet made the apartment available. We were woken early by the noise, which is unacceptable. When we raised concerns, the owner didn't respond. Saying the construction is outside the rental and therefore not their problem doesn't justify renting the place during the work.

The location is ideal, but the apartment was noisy day and night, and far from a quiet stay. We paid extra for a room with a terrace, but couldn't get to it because the door was completely stuck. We called as soon as we arrived. First they said the gardener had been there the day before and there had been no problem, and that guests had stayed for months without trouble, which was hard to believe given the door's condition. After more calls, they said someone would come inspect it, but nobody showed up. The next day they said someone would come even if we were out, and then told us the door wouldn't open. We were leaving the following day, so it didn't matter whether anyone came by. They kept passing us around, didn't answer properly or fix anything, and offered no compensation. The TV also didn't work, the shower door wouldn't close, and the apartment wasn't very clean. Spiders and cobwebs were around throughout the stay. Afterward I read reviews saying this had been an issue for almost a year. The door was swollen from humidity and impossible to open. If you're paying for a terrace, make sure you can actually access it first. Thanks for nothing to the agency managing it.
