The lounge is nice and the gym is very well equipped, and the staff are helpful. The hotel is quite far from the city center, and the entrance looks like a hostel. The rooms are cozy, though I think the bathroom is too big, and I don't see the need for a small kitchen in the room. Air circulation in the room is poor. Breakfast is the weakest part. It was the same food each day, with no rotation over the three days.

For getting to the river district or the other side of the river, plan ahead and pre-book an Uber or other transport. The shortest we waited for a vehicle was 15 minutes, and the metro is about a 12-minute walk away. We walked everywhere. This is a nice, new hotel, a little far from Porto's main activity, but the gym is amazing and the rooms are great. Housekeeping and front desk were accommodating, kind, and informative. They showed us around the facilities, but breakfast should be clearly marked as €15. We didn't know there was a charge and were unpleasantly surprised at the end. The offerings were often depleted by the time we arrived, so paying €15 for a coffee, yogurt, and two eggs felt predatory. Maintenance team, the doors are a real safety concern, and other reviews suggest this hasn't been addressed. Our door was so hard to push open that we commented on it and left it open while sleeping. I'm a pretty muscular guy, and it would get stuck every time I tried to open it. I dread to think what might happen in an emergency. We weren't the only ones with the problem. Please check room 002, where the door is damaged, as they had a similar issue. We were in room 004, so Oporto Collection, please sand the bottom of the doors or have maintenance tighten all the hinges, so staff don't have to cover for your shortcomings.

I especially liked the living room and courtyard. The hotel has lots of amenities, with clean, well-stocked rooms and a sleek look that's still comfortable. The staff were welcoming.

The parking garage was the original reason we booked, and it turned out to be a big plus. The reception man was extremely friendly and helpful, and his recommendations became several highlights of our trip. Our room was clean and spacious, and the pool area was nice. It's a bit of a walk into the city, but getting around on foot or by Uber was easy and didn't bother us. I'd definitely stay again when visiting Porto.
